2014 Enderle Pullers
Diesel fumes and High-octane intensity explodes into Champaign County Fairgrounds every September in Urbana, Ohio as pulling trucks and tractors battle it out at the Enderle Pull Off. This invitation-only event stars the NTPA's best drivers and their machines — Super Farms, Pro Stocks, Super Stocks, Modified, and Mini Modified Tractors as well as Semi, Two-Wheel and Four-Wheel Drive Trucks. The drivers compete in two exciting sessions. Drivers gear up for the unequaled thrill of winning at this nationally-recognized pull, but also for the chance to bring home a share of more than $100,000 in prize money.
Worthington, Ohio---The National Tractor Pullers Association has named the Enderle Pull-Off, the Association's all-star invitational event located in Urbana, Ohio, the 2015 "Grand National Pull of the Year." Title sponsor Enderle Fuel Injection's president and founder Kent Enderle and Mike and Yovana Keena were honored at the NTPA's Convention and Awards Banquet in Dublin, Ohio on Saturday, December 5, 2015.
In truck and tractor pulling, vehicles of various configurations vie to pull a metal sled the greatest distance along a straight, dirt track as the sled's resistance increases. The 2015 edition of the Enderle Pull-Off, its 10th at the Champaign County Fairgrounds, was expanded to include 24 pulling divisions for which competitors across the nation strived to qualify throughout the season. The one-day event rewarded its participants with over $105,000; across its 29-year history, the Enderle's total payout has now exceeded $1.5 million.
2015 marks the first such award for the Enderle Pull-Off as a standalone event, although it shared in the honor on five previous occasions (1995, 1998, 2000, 2002, and 2003) as part of the Fort Recovery (Ohio) Grand Nationals. "The Enderle," as it is commonly called, was voted "Pull of the Year" by competing members of the NTPA in a category that included 20 Grand National events across the United States. Recent winners of the award have been pulls in New Hampton, Iowa; Hutchinson, Minnesota; and Wellington, Ohio.
The 2015 Grand National Pull of the Year Award is sponsored by Simpson Performance of Charlotte, Michigan and was presented to the Enderles by president Max Simpson. The NTPA also honors Regional National and Super National Pulls of the Year. In 2015, these awards went to the Erie County Fair Pull in Sandusky, Ohio and the National Tractor Pulling Championships in Bowling Green, Ohio, respectively.
The 30th annual Enderle Pull-Off is scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2016.
